Sutro Baths Golden Hour

Arrived in SF last week to the warm weather of temps in the low 60s :) The boy picked me up and we headed straight to SF. Went to the Sutro Baths while the sun set. It reminded of the time we went to Santa Monica. The previous time we came out to Land's End, we just stayed on the top of the cliff; this time we decided to go down and explore. The Pacific Coast is so beautiful. Or maybe it's just the vast ocean that I find intriguing. Either way, it's great to be back on the West Coast!

P.S. I'm really sad I forgot to charge up my dslr battery before I left and that I forgot to bring the actual charger.

Daycation With the Fam

A daycation with the family to eat in Monterey, visit Pebble Beach, and drive the 17 mile drive. The food at Cafe Fina was absolutely delicious! I had the king crab legs and they were the best crab I've ever tasted. My brother's paella looked really good too but I didn't get to try any. We had dessert at Pebble Beach and enjoyed the view of the 18th hole. Then we headed back home along the 17 mile drive road. When you enter, they give you a map at the gate and it has a list of the different stops along the way with a brief description. We stopped at the Lone Cypress and China Rock.

Tahoe 07.20.13 Part II

After stand up paddleboarding we came back to the campsite to have al pastor tacos and some camp site chillin and ice cream. We were all so exhausted that we took naps. I took mine in the tent and it was so hot in there! After the naps, I wanted to go hiking and exploring; after all, I did rent a lens for the purpose of landscape photography. Jon, Cody, and I drove to Emerald Bay and hiked a short 1 mile trail down the lake (Vikingsholm Trail). The drive there is well above the actual lake and it was breathtaking and when we got down to the actual lake, we were all amazed. The water was so still and blue. There was a sign that said "extremely cold water." I should have took a pic, oh well. (I think they say it's cold because it's snow melt.) We saw girls jumping off the pier and climbing back onto their family boat. I was still in my bikini and was contemplating jumping in. The family encouraged me to do it, I was concerned about the cold water (because of the warning on the sign). I mustered up the courage to do it and asked the family if I could use their boat to climb back onto the pier opposed to swimming all the way back to shore. I'm so glad I did! The water wasn't cold at all. The boys weren't in their trunks anymore but they didn't want to miss out on the fun so they jumped in too. All three of us loved the spontaneity of it all. We came back to the campsite and made 1/3lb burgers with all the fixings and played with some light graffiti and ate s'mores. It was a great trip and can't wait to go back to Tahoe in the summer again! Of course I'll make a trip in the winter as well :)
