PT school

Thanks everybody for the congratulations! I'm still in shock and disbelief. Is this really happening? It's been a long time coming and a journey in and of itself. The application process is brutal! But through lots of prayer, faith, and trust, God has answered my many prayers and I am truly blessed. Thanks for everyone's support. Philippians 4:13

Wow what a crazy less-than-24 hrs it's been

6:00pm Check Craigslist for any nearby physical therapy aide job openings. None. They were all too far and not worth the drive.
7:30pm Finished eating dinner. Went back on my computer. For some reason I checked Craigslist again and VOILA! A part time job opening about 12 miles away. Part time is good because I'm looking for volunteer at a hospital as well.

8:00pm Wrote my cover letter, reviewed my resume and emailed a response. Also Facebook/Tweeted everyone asking for prayer on my job application.

10:45pm Went to shower and prayed for the job.

11:15pm After my shower I checked my email and I got a response from the job offer asking if I was available to interview tomorrow (which is today). Facebook/Tweeted everyone announcing I got an interview and need more prayer.

11/08/11

12:15am Prayed for the job and went to sleep.

9:30am Woke up and checked my email. Interview got rescheduled a few minutes later than originally scheduled time.

11:20am I arrive in the parking lot of the place and pray

11:35am I walk to the office

12:45pm I am handed an employee packet with all the tax forms and schedule a time to start training

12:46pm I Facebook/Tweet "so uh. i got a job." in UTTER SHOCK, AWE, AND AMAZED

12:00pm I go in for training.

This is NOT by my own doing but by Him. Plus the power of prayer :)

This was also on utmost.org for today. (Mind you, I've never been on this site) Wow does prayer work. And I guess the Spirit agreed with my desire to get this job.

Before 9/11/11 is over....

Where was I 10 years ago when the planes crashed into the World Trade Center on 9/11?

I just started my freshman year of high school a few weeks ago and I was woken up by my 6:50am alarm. I would usually hear the top 40 sounds of Z95.7 but instead, I heard talking. Half asleep I listened to the news that two planes ran into the World Trade Center in New York. I did not believe it at first. I got up, brushed my teeth, and changed. As I proceeded downstairs, the TV was on; it didn't matter what channel was on, the tragic news was everywhere. My parents were watching the TV in shock and so was I. I remember the videos of people in the streets of New York running away from a large gray cloud of dust and rubble chasing them. For some reason, my parents thought it was safe that I still go to school. My mom dropped me off and that's all we talked about in the hallways, minutes before the bell rang for first period to start. The sound of fighter jets flying above the school scared me and at the same time gave me a sense of safety. The bell rang, and school started. I don't remember much of the rest of the day.

God has been showing me so much of Him through different people in my life. So much to journal (privately) about. :)
